ORGANIZATIONAL

Capacity

The organization:
- demonstrates substantial knowledge and experience regarding the health need being addressed,
- has a track record of success in measurably improving health/healthcare access, and
- has demonstrable financial, leadership and human resource capacity and experience to successfully carry out the proposed project.

Leadership

Organization can objectively demonstrate that they are firmly committed to achieving superior performance in improving health.

PROPOSED PROJECT*

Health Need

The need for the proposed project is well-documented and substantiated.

Financial Need

- The need for the Foundation's financial investment is thoroughly explained, including reasons why public and/or private funding is unavailable.
- The applicant organization is providing monetary or major in-kind project investment.
- The project is supported by more than one financial resource.

Cost-Effectiveness

Documentation of the cost-effectiveness of goods and services to be purchased is provided and includes multiple quotes/bids for significant purchases.


* Preference will be given to projects addressing improved access to quality medical and dental care services, with a special emphasis on children.
